Welcome to the Victorian Working Sheep Dog Association
FOR BETTER WORKING SHEEPDOGS

It has been said "a good dog is worth two workmen."

In 1927 the Victorian Working Sheep Dog Association was formed by those who saw the need to foster the working and breeding of better sheep dogs - to improve their quality. The working sheep dog is a most important part of our primary industry.

The Working of an Arena Trial in Victoria

For the Standard Arena Trial, and even line of 500 sheep may be required, depending on the number of entries. They are often loaned by a generous grazier in the local district. Three fresh sheep are used for each competitor which are released at the far end of the ground from a let-out pen.  >> Read More
